I Just Peed In My Pants A Little Bit
    (UPDATED on November 15th @ 12:44AM)

The excitement this news has generated in me is powerful. I feel like I'm a kid again.
Alright, I felt like a kid again on Monday when playing Super Mario Galaxy but this is even better.

    BREAKING NEWS!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The State Movie is in pre-production!!!
Also, Treehouse of Horror issue thirteen.

Today, I attended a signing at Golden Apple comic book shop in Hollywood, CA. It was to celebrate the 13th issue of Treehouse of Horror, which contains two stories I colored.

Those signing were writers Thomas Lennon, Patton Oswalt and Jerry Duggan and artists Tone Rodriguez, Mike Rote and Jason Ho. I had the six fellows sign my issue, ate some free candy and looked at old issues of Lobo. Moments before Thomas Lennon left, I asked him about the release of The State DVD and the rescoring of the music. He confirmed that the music indeed had been rescored but then informed me of a The State movie, which is currently in early pre-production. MTV is set to produce the film, which will be a series of sketches rather than a single narrative.

I've been a huge fan of The State since it debuted on MTV back in the early nineties. It's brilliant absurd comedy that expertly walks the line between low and high brow. Smart stupid you might say.

Very rarely is one the first to know something as a member of the public. It is so rare that I couldn't help but to break the news to the internet. There you have it. Now to see how long it takes for the news to spread, which will be a good indicator of how many people read this lil' blog.

    In summary:

    The State Movie!!!
    Yay!
